People under the Age of Eighteen Should not Be Allowed to Marry

Never get married when you're still immature

Marriage is a legal union of a man and woman who falls in love and agrees to live with each other as a couple. Most of adults are getting married when they feel ready to build up their own family and home which require lots of things. Nowadays, along with the fast speed of life and the fast growing of population, most of young adults involve themselves with love faster and get married earlier; however the divorce rate is also higher than before. Then in what age should people get married? Should people under the age of eighteen be allowed to get married? For me, the answer is no. Indeed, people under the age of eighteen should not be allowed to get married because of these three reasons.
Firstly, young adult couples are too immature to know what the marriage life is. Because of their young age, they do not have enough ability to nurture their marriage life well after they get married. Sometimes they do not know what kinds of behaviors they should behave toward each other. The young, on the other hand, are easy to get angry when their partners do something wrong or misbehave toward them. Moreover, they cannot control  and run their own family life  with a healthy one, and their marriage life will not last long.
Secondly, marriage at young age can be harmful to physical and mental health. Young couples, especially girls are likely to have many problems than boys do. For example, girls who are getting marriage under the age of eighteen are dangerous when they get pregnant because their bodies have not develop fully, and this will lead to serious problems during their childbirth. Moreover, marriage at the young age can promote domestic violence and marital rape and other problems such as: HIV, STDs, VD, and STIs, etc.
Finally, child marriage can face financial problems. Generally speaking, people under the age of eighteen are the age of absorbing knowledge and skills, but they will face financial problems if they fail to do so and get married at age of not yet mature enough. Because their life at school is short, they don’t have any specific knowledge or skills to earn money to support their family.
On the other side of early marriage might say that couples have more time to live with each other and can be rich at the young ages. However, when people decided to get married, they should ponder both positive and negative impacts of their early marriage. In the early age, people had better to absorb and enhance their knowledge rather than hurriedly getting marriage.
In conclusion, marriage is a contract signed by a man and woman as a serious thing in peoples’ life, and people should ponder it before getting married. Therefore, people under the age of eighteen should not be allowed to marry because they are too immature, and it can be harmful to physical and mental health and can face financial problems. If you are at the young age and want to get married, you should think of these three reasons carefully.

Read to Improve your life quality

Reading improves your life quality.

Reading requires great patience for the very first start. It is a quality that not everyone can adopt it. Yeah, when you read, for example, books--about personal growth, business or else, you will benefit from them for sure. So we have to adopt a habit of reading in order to improve ourselves.
Sadly, we love to spend our time doing nothing.

If we look back to history, most scholars spent most of their time reading and writing. As we live in modern age and everything is available for us, we have to train ourselves to read and make it as our habit.

I myself didn't have a habit of reading too. But when I searched inside myself, I've realized that only spending time reading can help me improve my life quality.
Reading helps you a lot in your everyday life because it helps you get informed or aware of what's happening around. Not just only the things mentioned earlier, when you read, you can improve your general knowledge, memory, critical thinking skill, etc. "Read to broaden your knowledge."

By not doing anything, you'll gain nothing in your life.

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a serious problem, which has happened in our society for ages. It happens in many forms and causes trouble, which affects family members, especially women and children. Why domestic violence occurs in family? What are the causes of it? To know more deeply about this, we have to think about some factors that are the causes of domestic violence, which family members have faced with in their everyday lives. Indeed, there are three causes of domestic violence: low education level, alcohol, and poverty.
First of all , domestic violence is caused by low education level. It has occurred almost in every family that its members have low or no education; domestic violence has taken place mostly in rural or remote area, where a low level of people live. For example, if a person who has low or no education, he may cause violence than the others who who are highly educated.
The second cause of domestic violence is alcohol. When a person consumes alcohol, he becomes unconscious, so he is likely to cause violence on his family members. Because of consuming alcohol, he will provoke argument with his wife or other family members, and it will lead to domestic violence. As we have seen in newspapers, we can say that alcohol is also a major factor that cause domestic violence in family. For instance, a drunkard who often gets drunk always cause domestic violence whenever he consumes alcohol.
Finally, the cause of domestic violence is poverty. As we have already known, domestic violence mostly occurs in poor family. Sometimes, people in poor family feel pressure of their poverty or no job available for them, and they cause domestic violence as well. In poor family people feel useless so that they may lose control and become angry with themselves, and they probably provoke family members, which also leads to domestic violence. For example, people living in rural area cause domestic violence than people living in city because rural people are poor or suffer from their poverty.
In conclusion, domestic violence is a major problem in society, and it occurs as a result of low education level, alcohol, and poverty. Since  it is a serious problem, we all should find solution and prevent it from happening in order to make people in our society live in no domestic violence.

Reflection Paper: The Drover’s Wife

The drover’s wife, by Henry Lawson, depicts the hard life of the drover’s wife who lived with her children and a snake dog in the two-roomed house, which was surrounded by bush with no horizon. While her husband was away droving, she needed both to take care of the children and earn for living to support her family. One day, the snake entered her house while the children were playing. One of them yelled there was a snake. Knowing that the snake had come to her house, the drover’s wife loosened her dog to protect her children from the snake. While sleeping at night, the children were guarded by her mother and the dog. Finally, the snake was killed and burnt in fire.
Among all characters portrayed in this story, I’m interested in the drover’s wife because of these reasons. First, she is a responsible and brave woman. In the story clearly shows that she can protect her children from a dangerous snake and nurture them well under any circumstances that occurred unexpectedly although her husband was away from her. In addition, she is an optimistic wife. She did not blame her husband for leaving her and children, and she still loved him. She thought that her husband had to be away just a short period of time to earn money for the family. Last, she is a non-violent mother. Even though one of her children, Tommy, was stubborn and argued with her, she never used violence against him.
What I’ve significantly learnt from this story is that every single woman needs to be independent and responsible for her own life. She should not heavily depend on other, especially man. Furthermore, woman can also be a breadwinner and take care for the family.
The story has provided us lots of good lessons in our daily lives. When reading this story, I’m always thinking of spending time to read it again and again. I’d recommend it to my friends so that they can also learn more for their personal improvement.
